Investment Manager

Lauren manages client investment activity including fund administration for all the Mara Poling offerings. She is directly responsible for developing and executing key strategies to optimize both property tax and property insurance. Lauren oversees the acquisition and disposition of all assets in the portfolio, including all 1031 sale/exchanges.

Lauren is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a licensed real estate agent in the state of Texas. She joined Mara Poling in 2021.

Her 14 years of experience include a range of roles in both residential and commercial real estate organizations.

Principal & Chief Financial Officer

Lauren is responsible for all things Accounting & Finance at Mara Poling.

Lauren earned a B.S. in Accounting from Sonoma State. She began her career with Mara Poling as Controller in 2016 increasing her responsibilities as her experience grew.

Her 12 years of experience include accounting, finance, and M&A positions in the technology and finance industries.

John Jones

Principal & Chief Investment Officer

John is responsible for acquisition and disposition of assets in the Mara Poling portfolio as well as capital programs for each asset.

As Chief Investment Officer he works closely with Lauren to ensure the optimum performance of the assets.

John acquired a B.S. in Agriculture from Texas A&M. He first worked with Mara Poling on a joint venture in 2016, joining the team full time in 2018.

His 23 years of experience include principal roles in multiple firms investing in multifamily and hospitality assets.

Pat Poling

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Pat provides leadership to the entire Mara Poling Team and maintains the primary relationship with each of Mara Poling’s clients.

Final decision maker on all investments, he works closely with John and Lauren to ensure each decision is in the best interest of the client.

Pat received a B.S. in Finance from LMU and did his post graduate work in Organizational Development at USF.

More than 40 years of experience enables Pat to understand client’s needs and develop the talent within Mara Poling to serve clients for years to come.
